Help Solve Homelessness in Northwest Arkansas

Case Manager of the Year - Glyn Holden

My name is Glyn Holden, I work as a case manager for 7Hills Homeless Center overnight shelter and New Beginnings here in Fayetteville, AR. I have been in this line of work since 2022, when I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in social work.
I am originally from Terry, Mississippi. I moved to Little Rock in 2018 to work at a bicycle manufacturer called Allied Cycle Works. When covid happened in 2020, I had just begun work at a new company and was laid off, so I decided that it was a great opportunity to go back to school, and that is when I landed in Fayetteville.
My favorite part of this job is the relationships that I have the opportunity to build with people who I might otherwise never have gotten to meet; hearing their stories and where they come from. I love working closely with people and having the opportunity to help in any way that I can. Sometimes the most important thing to do is show that you care about someone and believe in them. I cherish those moments where I can see hope in someone’s eyes.

Case Manager of the Year - Arlene Jones

My name is Arlene Jones.

I began my journey to stand and unite by Empowering Others Through Lived Experience Drawing on my own experiences inside the parameters of homelessness and JADE (Judicially Involved –Asset Limited-Disenfranchised-Equity Deprived).  I have  developed strong self-advocacy skills and now I can share and  support other community members facing similar challenges.

My first journey began five years ago as a client of DiVa & DuDe Community Outreach/Training Center, where I found support and resources that helped me overcome adversity. Since then, I  have flourished into one of the leaders of community impact, renowned for my unwavering commitment to uplifting individuals and families throughout Northwest Arkansas. As a dedicated leader of Street Outreach, I was able to provid services to 104 families in 2025 alone, securing housing for 19 of them, all without funding.

Also, offering vital resources and fostering connections that strengthen the social fabric of my region. Known affectionately as “Arlene Unlimited,” I hope to always be celebrated for my boundless energy and my ability to inspire those around me to believe in the possibilities of change and hope. I has demonstrated my dedication to the region through my recent work with the Arkansas Justice Reform Coalition, my other passion reflecting a strong commitment to justice, equity, and community empowerment. My active involvement has supported initiatives focused on addressing the needs of underrepresented groups, promoting substantive reform, and ensuring inclusive participation in the pursuit of an equitable justice system. With a heart for service and a vision for a better tomorrow, I have and always will continue to bridge gaps, advocate for equity, and lead with compassion. My legacy is and will remain one of tireless involvement and the belief that change is not only possible, but inevitable when communities unite for the common good.

Motto. ” Meet you Where You Are” That is the New Beginning
